BBC Proms 2019
There is classical music in the air every day this month as we’re in the midst of Proms season. With something big happening almost every night at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall, and unique performances at Cadogan Hall, the Proms is one of the biggest events we have in Kensington every year.
This year’s programme is jam-packed again with fantastic concerts, especially those special events celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Moon landings. We think it’s the most eclectic the Proms has ever been.
While it is hard to tie down what our favourites are, some of the big hitters we’re looking forward to include:
- Prom 18: Mahler & Britten
- Prom 24: Relaxed Prom
- Prom 29 & 30: The Warner Brothers Story
- Prom 36: Late-Night Mixtape
- Prom 45: Mississippi Goddam: A Homage to Nina Simone
Looking for somewhere to stay while you’re in London for the Proms? Take a look at our one-bedroom apartments with their own fully furnished living area and separate kitchen.

The family-friendly atmosphere of the outdoor screenings are a delight, with guests encouraged to bring their own picnics and get ready for a night of Hollywood fun from the open-air cinema (just remember to bring a blanket and jacket too).
This year’s line-up includes Marvel blockbuster Black Panther, 90s classic Clueless, This Is England and more to be announced.
